Testimonials
When we first heard that a Special Needs Dayhab program was starting in Whitesboro, we were so excited, and we signed up right away. We knew it would be something wonderful, but it has far exceeded every hope we had for our son Bo and for our family.
Eric and his wife Marci poured their hearts into bringing this program to life, and their passion shows in everything they do. From the start, they’ve built a place where everyone feels loved, included, and valued. Chaney, the program director, is simply amazing. She has such a special gift for connecting with everyone - Bo absolutely adores her, and it’s clear all the others do too.
Every day at the Dayhab is full of purpose and fun. They’re always on the go! Delivering Meals on Wheels, going to the movies, bowling, grabbing ice cream, or just being out in the community making a difference. It’s incredible to see how active, engaged, and genuinely happy everyone is.
We’re also so grateful to the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro for providing a place for the program to grow. And a special thank you to the wonderful ladies from the church who invite the group to join their exercise program - your kindness and inclusion mean the world to these amazing individuals.
This program is truly a blessing for our family and so many others. It’s more than just a day program, it’s a community, a purpose, and a place where our loved ones shine. Because it’s non-profit, it depends on donations to keep thriving, and every contribution helps keep this beautiful mission going.
We’re so proud and thankful to be part of something so special. Thank you, Eric and Marci, for bringing your vision to life and making a difference is so many lives.
Sincerely,
Kipp & Tina Butler
My husband and I were thrilled to find out The Special Needs Dayhab was opening in Whitesboro, as we had been driving our adult son 45 min one way to his previous dayhab. We enrolled our son Alex as soon as it opened and we have been very impressed with the staff and program. The director, Chaney, is kind and patient and the dayhabers love her. The owners Eric and Marcie are warm and welcoming and helped us feel immediately comfortable with the facilities ability to provide a fun and safe environment for Alex. I love how active the group is in the community delivering meals with Meals on Wheels and making crafts to sell at the Peanut Festival. They also have several fun outings like eating at local restaurants, swimming, bowling, museums…just to name a few. This is an active group and it’s exactly what my son was missing after he aged out of school. We are so thankful for everyone at The Special Needs Dayhab for the love and care they put into our son.
